BRM5 Headquarters Guide

Understand BRM5 Headquarters staffing, Logistics, Operations, Deliveries, health, defense and research, with a routine for finding the next bottleneck.

Quick answer

BRM5 Headquarters works as a connected system: staff gather resources, Logistics provides storage, Deliveries turns selected resources into credits, and other departments support recruiting, health, defense, vehicles and research. Start by finding the current constraint. A department with no staff, full storage or injured workers cannot be fixed reliably by upgrading an unrelated building.

The official listing checked October 18, 2026 confirms offline income and weapons research. This guide also uses ofo’s March 21 post-9.5 HQ tutorial, including its dated department chapters, and FlashingClear’s October 9 beginner follow-up. Community figures and old screenshots can change. We explain the relationships and a practical management routine without promising a daily income amount, current upgrade cost or guaranteed raid outcome.

Open Headquarters and inspect the current state

Use the current Headquarters entry in the game menu and follow the in-game introduction. The March tutorial demonstrates access from the main menu and from an Openworld recon interface. The October beginner follow-up revisits the HQ system. If the live interface differs, use its labels rather than hunting for a control that only appears in an older recording.

Before spending, inspect your available personnel, resource storage, active assignments and the requirements of the next upgrade. Write down one intended result, such as creating enough storage for a planned resource requirement. This turns the HQ from an intimidating list of buildings into a chain of small decisions you can check.

Keep Headquarters and your deployed loadout separate in your thinking. Some departments affect loadout or vehicle capacity, while others operate the HQ economy. A building that helps you store resources may be valuable even if it does not change the weapon in your hands. Conversely, buying another weapon does not solve a staffing problem.

Airbase, Barracks and Command set the foundation

In the post-refresh tutorial, Airbase upgrades act as prerequisites for other buildings. Check that prerequisite before collecting resources for a department you cannot yet upgrade. The useful first question is what blocks your next chosen goal, not which building looks most impressive on the map.

Barracks governs overall personnel capacity. A separate department can still have its own staff limit, so more room in Barracks does not automatically create another slot in Operations or Deliveries. If you hired someone but cannot assign them where intended, inspect the target department’s capacity as well as total personnel capacity.

Command concerns recruitment. The March tutorial explains that staffing and relevant personnel quality affect the candidates offered for hire. Do not assume that a visible candidate is free, that all roles use the same skill or that any high-looking grade is ideal for every department. Read the skill relevant to the assignment you are choosing.

Our suggested early routine is to solve access and capacity before pursuing a distant end goal. Check the next Airbase prerequisite, keep enough overall personnel space for your plan and understand Command before making repeated hires. This is planning advice, not a fixed universal build order or an instruction to buy a particular grade immediately.

Logistics and Operations must work together

The March tutorial is explicit that Logistics storage depends on assigned personnel and their relevant skill. Upgrading the building expands staffing capacity; an empty department does not become a useful store merely because construction is complete. This distinction is one of the most useful checks when an HQ seems unable to hold resources.

Operations gathers resources through assigned personnel. The tutorial demonstrates choosing resources and inspecting the gathering rate in the interface. Offline gathering is also consistent with the current official description. However, offline activity does not remove storage and health constraints. Check whether the destination has room and whether the workers can continue operating.

Plan around the resources required for your next actual upgrade or research node. Gathering something simply because an old guide calls it the most profitable can leave you short of the material you need now. If you are unsure, compare the requirement on the live panel with what is already stored and choose a limited next target.

When a resource stops increasing, inspect the chain in order: assignment, staff health, selected resource and remaining storage. Avoid buying another building until you know which part is constrained. A brief readback of the current state is more useful than repeatedly changing several departments at once and losing track of the cause.

Health, Infirmary and Defenses are operating costs

The post-refresh HQ tutorial explains that Operations staff take damage while gathering and can stop at critical health. Infirmary assignments pair doctors and patients to restore personnel. A worker’s high grade is not the whole story if their current health prevents effective activity. Include health in your regular review.

Defenses concerns HQ raids and their outcome. The tutorial describes raid probability and defense probability as displayed values affected by the HQ state and assignments. Use the current panel rather than copying an old percentage from a table. This guide does not promise that a chosen building level or staff count guarantees safety in the current version.

Treat healing and defense as part of maintaining the system you are building. More resource production may create a larger stockpile, but that does not make health or defense irrelevant. If you only inspect income, you can miss the reason a department slows down. A sustainable routine checks the workers who keep the routine operating.

Deliveries turns resources into credits

Deliveries is the conversion step between gathered resources and money. The March tutorial demonstrates staff-linked deliveries rather than treating the department as one unlimited sell button. Inspect the current amount, assignment and delivery state before assuming that stored resources have already become spendable credits.

Keep the resources needed for your next upgrade in mind before selling. It is possible to make a sale that feels productive but delays the construction or research you intended to start. Our recommendation is to reserve the known requirement first, then consider selling surplus. This is an accounting habit, not a claim that the game automatically locks reserved materials.

Choose a management rhythm that fits how often you actually return. An advertised maximum daily income assumes a particular developed setup and maintenance pattern. This page does not reproduce those income claims as your expected result. Compare your observed gathering, available storage and completed deliveries before setting a personal expectation.

Research, training and vehicle support serve different goals

The Research Lab is a distinct route to Headquarters items, confirmed in the official description and demonstrated in the post-refresh video. The tutorial shows resource requirements, research nodes and research efficiency. Read the current node before committing resources, and distinguish having a building from meeting the requirements of a research project.

Training develops personnel skills through teacher and student assignments in the dated tutorial. That can serve a staffing plan, but it also uses time and capacity. Compare the role you need, the available candidates and the current training panel rather than assuming every worker should immediately enter training. We do not publish unverified current training timers or ceilings here.

Gunsmith, Garage and Helicopter Hangar provide different benefits, including loadout or vehicle capacity and repair support in the demonstrated system. Pick the department that solves your next goal. Additional saved loadouts can organize equipment, while vehicle support may matter to an Openworld routine; neither should be mistaken for extra resource storage.

Use a short return checklist

On each HQ visit, check storage, personnel health, assignments, delivery status and the requirement of your next goal. Make one meaningful change, then confirm the displayed result. If you move a worker, verify the department they now occupy. If you sell resources, check what remains before starting an upgrade. These small readbacks keep your plan grounded in the live system.

Return to the Openworld guide when planning a deployment and the loadout guide when deciding what equipment problem to solve next. Headquarters supports those activities, but its income and research should be judged from your current state. A clear operating chain is more useful than a copied late-game spreadsheet whose costs, probabilities or assumptions no longer match your account.

Route

Step-by-step guide

  1. Inspect the current constraint

Open Headquarters and inspect which department is waiting for staff, resources, storage space or worker recovery. Name that constraint before choosing an upgrade.

  2. Connect staff and storage

Check the staffing assignment and Logistics storage together. Hiring more workers will not resolve a full storage bottleneck, and extra capacity cannot replace an empty staffing assignment.

  3. Check health and deliveries

Review worker health and the resources selected for Deliveries. Confirm the displayed state after one adjustment before assuming the connected income or research loop is working.
